Chair T'ai Chi and Yoga Class
My Chair T’ai Chi and Yoga Class is an 8-week class for older men and women, anyone who has difficulty getting up and down from the floor or someone who might enjoy a gentle approach to mindful movement. As a senior myself, and having taught both Yoga and T’ai Chi for 25 + years, I understand what it’s like to be in an older body and how to best take care of ourselves while improving our health and well-being.
No experience is necessary to join and Beginners are warmly encouraged. Dress comfortably – all you need is a sturdy chair with no arms and a non-skid surface such as a carpet, rubber-soled shoes or a yoga/exercise mat. The class is beneficial, easy and fun.
Combining easy-to-follow movements from Gentle Hatha Yoga with T’ai Chi exercises, you will gain flexibility, strength and balance, improved circulation and lower blood pressure. You’ll also enjoy mindfulness meditation and relaxation for enhanced inner peace. You may choose to stand or sit (or some of each) depending on your ability and/or preferences. Now offered on the Zoom platform with space available.
Time: Fridays from 10:00 – 11:00 ET beginning January 27, 2023
Cost: Offered on a sliding scale: $96 or $60 for the 8-week class. (Payment depends on your means)
